    Paris, 22 September 2025 – The 69th Ballon d’Or, football’s most prestigious award, was presented today in a lavish ceremony at the historic Théâtre du Chatelet in Paris. The winners of all the major awards, including the men’s and women’s Ballon d’Or, were announced this evening to honor the best players, coaches and clubs in the world of football.
    This year, Paris Saint-Germain and France forward Ousmane Dembélé won the men’s Ballon d’Or, while Barcelona and Spain midfielder Aitana Bonmatí won the women’s Ballon d’Or for the third time in a row.

    • Women’s Ballon d’Or: Aitana Bonmati (Barcelona/Spain)

    • Copa Trophy (Best Under-21 Female Player): Vicky Lopez (Barcelona/Spain)

    • Women’s Club of the Year: Arsenal
    • Socrates Award (Social Service): Jana Foundation
    Dembele’s historic season:
    Ousmane Dembele won the men’s Ballon d’Or after having the best season of his career. He led Paris Saint-Germain to their first ever UEFA Champions League, a domestic double (Ligue 1 and Coupe de France) and the UEFA Super Cup. His lightning-fast performance in the knockout stages of big matches was remarkable.
    Bonmati’s hat-trick:
    Aitana Bonmati made history by winning the Women’s Ballon d’Or for the third time in a row. She was instrumental in leading Barcelona to a domestic treble (Liga F, Copa de la Reina, Supercopa) and the UEFA Women’s Champions League final. Being named UWCL Player of the Season for the third consecutive time and helping Spain reach the Euro 2025 final is testament to his remarkable consistency.
    Coach and Club of the Year:
    The men’s Johan Cruyff Coaching Award was won by Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique, who led PSG to their first Champions League title. The award in the women’s category went to England national team coach Sarina Wigman, under whose leadership England successfully defended their European title.
